Suspects wanted for throwing plates at transgender woman and friend in Queens diner
Police are looking for three suspects wanted for throwing plates at a transgender woman and her friend in a Queens diner last week.
The 30-year-old woman and a 32-year-old male friend were attacked inside the Neptune Diner in Astoria about 5 a.m. on Wednesday.
Police said the suspects began making anti-gay statements at the pair before throwing plates at them.
Both victims were taken to Astoria General Hospital with lacerations to their heads.
Police are investigating the incident as a possible anti-gay assault.
Investigators from the Hate Crimes Task Force are hoping to question two women and a man, depicted in surveillance footage from the diner, wanted in connection with the assault.
Cops ask anyone with information to call NYPD’s Crime Stoppers hotline at 800-577-TIPS, text a tip to 274637 (CRIMES) or submit a tip online.
