Signal problems caused partial shutdowns of the 1, 2 and 3 trains in Manhattan on Tuesday morning, according to the Metropolitan Transportation Authority.

No 1 trains were running between the Chambers Street and 137th Street stations in both directions as of 11:40 a.m. No 2 or 3 trains were running between 96th Street and Chambers Street in both directions.

The MTA said 2 trains are running on the 5 line between 149th Street in the Bronx and Nevins Street in Brooklyn.

Shuttle service for the 3 train is operating between 110th Street and Harlem-148th Street, and between New Lots Avenue and Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center in both directions.

Shuttles for the 1 train are operating between 242 Street-Van Cortlandt Park and 137 Street-City College.

Passengers are advised to use the C train as an alternative. The shutdowns have caused 4 train delays in both directions.

The problems were tracked to a signal relay room at Times Square, MTA spokesman Kevin Ortiz said.

“Right now, we’re slowly bring back local service,” Ortiz said.
