Girl stabs teen in the heart during argument in South Philadelphia: Police
A 14-year-old boy is in critical condition after he was stabbed in his heart Tuesday night in the Point Breeze section of South Philadelphia.
The stabbing reportedly happened during an argument at South 22nd and Monroe streets about 8 p.m., NBC10 reported. The victim walked from the crime scene but collapsed along the 2100 block of South 22nd Street.
Philadelphia police have arrested a 15-year-old girl in connection with the attack.
The knife reportedly pierced the teenage boy’s heart. He underwent emergency surgery at Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia, and investigators told NBC10 they are not certain he will survive.
The girl was arrested about a half-mile from the crime scene and remained in custody Wednesday morning.
