Police have released the name of a woman who was found dead in a car in University City earlier this morning.

At about 10:30 a.m. this morning police were called to 30th Street Station where the dead woman was found in a black Nissan Altima, ABC reported.

The woman has been identified as Nadia Malik, 22, of Broomall, Pa. She was pronounced dead around noon.

Malik was reported missing Feb. 9.

Marple police said Malik was last seen Feb. 9 driving the 2007 black Nissan Altima on the 6400 block of Market Street in Upper Darby.

Malik reportedly worked as a pharmacist’s assistant at a CVS on Landsdowne Avenue in Upper Darby.

Her boyfriend, Bhupinder Singh, 25, with whom she has two children, is in police custody in Ohio, where he was found to be in violation of his probation in Delaware County.

Pennsylvania authorities asked Ohio police to visit Singh’s parents’ home to look for the Altima. When officers went to the home, Singh reportedly tried to flee out the back door and was detained.

Singh reportedly admitted to officers that he and Malik had a fight, at which point he claimed he left her with the Altima, which belonged to his parents, and took a bus back to Ohio.

Police said Malik was found in the front passenger seat of the car, and that the car had been parked in the same spot since Feb. 9.

Singh has previous arrests for assault and drunk driving.

Singh is awaiting extradition back to Delaware County.
