Police seek suspects who punched, robbed man on the Lower East Side
Three men are being sought in connection with the robbery of a man on the Lower East Side last month.
Police say the 28-year-old victim was walking in front of 3 Ludlow St. shortly after 2 p.m. on Jan. 16 when he was approached by the suspects. The robbers punched the victim in the head, causing his Samsung Galaxy cellphone to fall to the ground, police said.
The victim tried to pick up his phone, but the suspects kicked him in the lower back. They then picked up the phone and fled westbound on Canal Street.
Police released surveillance photos of the suspects. All three are described as black males between 18 and 20 years old.
