FDNY rescues four kids, one adult in Brooklyn fire
An early morning blaze in Boerum Hill, Brooklyn injured four children and one adult in the Wyckoff Gardens public housing development.
Firefighters rescued two infants — one of which was said to have been in critical condition — and an older child, all of whom were taken to Methodist Hospital.
Authorities said a fourth child, also older, was taken to Cornell Hospital in critical condition. FDNY also rescued an adult, who the Daily News reported as the 63-year-old grandmother to the children, from the fire.
Officials said that the blaze broke out around 2:15 a.m. on the fifth floor of the three-building complex home to around 1,220 people.
Investigators had not yet determined what caused the fire by Sunday afternoon.
