Man dead, another injured after stabbing during fight at Brooklyn McDonald’s: NYPD
One man was killed and another was stabbed in the back after a fight broke out inside a Brooklyn McDonald’s on Sunday night, police said.
The men were inside the fast-food joint at Stillwell and Mermaid Avenues in Coney Island when the fight started around 11 p.m., a law enforcement official said.
Police said Ezmond Harper, 20, was stabbed in the gut and another adult male was stabbed in the lower back during the melee.
The fight spilled onto the street corner, where responding officers found the men.
Harper was pronounced dead at Coney Island Hospital, police said. The second man, who was not identified, is in stable condition at Lutheran Medical Center.
Investigators believe the fight broke out after a group of men entered the McDonald’s and began to start “trouble” with another group, the official said, but what specifically sparked the brawl is still unclear.
The relationship between the two stabbing victims and how each was involved in the dispute was also not immediately clear, police said. How many people were involved in the fight was still under investigation Monday.
