Tiffany Goldwire, mother of slain 11-year-old, turns herself in
The mother of an 11-year-old who was shot and killed by her 2-year-old brother while he allegedly played with a loaded gun at home has turned herself in, said Philadelphia police today.
Tiffany Goldwire, accompanied by her lawyer, turned herself into police headquarters on April 17 in connection with the April 5 shooting. She is being charged with involuntary manslaughter, endangering the welfare of a child, possessing an instrument of crime, simple assault and recklessly endangering another person.
Goldwire, 31, of Wallace Street, was home when police said her daughter Jamara, 11, was shot and killed by Jamara’s 2-year-old brother. The kids were allegedly playing with the .357 Magnum they found on top of the refrigerator at their Mantua home.
