Flying can of soybeans hits woman in the eye at Bronx supermarket
Police are looking for a man suspected of throwing a can of soybeans that hit a woman in the face inside a Bronx supermarket last week.
After an argument with an unknown man inside Compare Food Store in Pelham Parkway, police said the suspect chucked the can in his direction at around 1:30 p.m. April 13.
The soybean can missed the intended target, striking a 69-year-old woman shopping at the grocery store. She was taken to Einstein Hospital with swelling to her eye, police said.
Cops are hoping to locate the man, wanted for assault, with surveillance footage. He is described as approximately 20 to 25 years old with a medium build.
Anyone with information about the assault is asked to call Crime Stoppers at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477), submit a tip online or text 274637 (CRIMES), then enter TIP577.
