Service disruptions hitting 12 subway lines this weekend

Service changes may cause hassles for subway riders this weekend, particularly in Brooklyn.

The 3 line isn’t operating and 2 trains won’t run between Franklin and Flatbush avenues in Brooklyn. Trains on the 4 line aren’t running from Atlantic Avenue to New Lots Avenue, and the J train isn’t running from Marcy Avenue to Broadway Junction.

The 7 line is also out from Queensboro Plaza to Times Square.

This weekend, 12 subway lines and the 42nd Street shuttle will be affected by service disruptions because of maintenance, recovery work and station renovations.

Here’s how each line will be affected:

1 Train: South Ferry-bound trains will skip 137th, 125th, 116th, 110th and 103rd streets in upper Manhattan. For timing and alternatives, click here.

2 Train: No trains will run between Franklin and Flatbush avenues in Brooklyn. For timing and alternatives, click here.

3 Train: No 3 trains running. For timing and alternatives, click here.

4 Train: No trains from Atlantic Avenue-Barclays Center and New Lots Avenue in Brooklyn. For timing and alternatives, click here.

5 Train: Trains will run from Eastchester-Dyre Avenue in the Bronx to Bowling Green in Manhattan. For timing and alternatives, click here.

6 Train: The Castle Hill Avenue and Middletown Road stations are still closed closed for renovations. Trains will run every 16 minutes from Third Avenue-138th Street and Pelham Bay Park in the Bronx. For timing and alternatives, click here.

7 Train: No 7 trains will run from Queensboro Plaza to Times Square. For timing and alternatives, click here.

M Train: No M trains are running. For timing and alternatives, click here.

N Train: Coney Island-bound trains will stop at 45th Street and 53rd Street in Brooklyn. For timing and alternatives, click here.

Q Train: Coney Island-bound platforms at Parkside Avenue, Beverley Road and Cortelyou Road are closed for renovations until early summer. Coney Island-bound trains will skip Avenues H, J, M, U and Neck Road in Brooklyn. Service is also extended to Ditmars Boulevard in Queens. For timing and alternatives, click here.

R Train: As part of ongoing Superstorm Sandy recovery work, no R trains will run between lower Manhattan and downtown Brooklyn. No shuttle trains will operate between 59th and 36th streets in Brooklyn. For timing and alternatives, click here.
