A driver was arrested after allegedly fleeing the scene of an accident minutes before causing another car crash that killed a 9-year-old girl in Brooklyn on Sunday night, police said.

Kenneth Palache, 62, was charged with criminally negligent homicide and leaving the scene of an accident resulting in death, among other offenses.

Palache, of Huntington, New York, was driving a minivan that struck two cars about 5 p.m. in Canarsie, police said.

Rebecca Ramnarine and five others were taken to Brookdale Hospital after the collision.

Police said Rebecca was in the backseat of a Hyundai Elantra going west on Avenue N when the car was hit by the Honda Odyssey Palache was driving south on Remsen Avenue. The minivan also hit a Toyota Siena.

According to police, Palache struck another car on East 87th Street and Foster Avenue, and fled the scene minutes before the fatal accident.

Palache was pulled over after the first collision but sped off when officers approached the van, police said. He hit the Hyundai and Toyota just two blocks away.
