Embattled Congressman Michael Grimm made his first appearance in a Brooklyn court since he was indicted in late April with perjury and tax fraud charges.

Grimm sat in court while prosecutors disclosed that they have some 7,000 pages of documents and 8,000 emails as evidence against him.

The next hearing is scheduled for July 21, but Grimm will likely skip it — with the presiding judge’s blessing.

The GOP lawmaker’s attorney’s also requested that he be excused from having to appear in court for pretrial hearings, which Judge Pamela Chen signed off on.

Last month, the U.S. Attorney’s Office for the Eastern District of New York unsealed a 20-count indictment on charges for mail, wire and health care fraud, as well as filing false tax returns, perjury, obstruction of an official proceeding and hiring and employing unauthorized immigrants in connection with an Upper East Side health restaurant Grimm ran between 2007 and 2010.

“We’re going to fight tooth and nail until I am fully exonerated,” Grimm said shortly after the indictment was revealed.

He gave no comment to press after Monday’s hearing.

Grimm represents Staten Island and parts of Brooklyn and is up for re-election this fall.
