Man killed outside ‘Mob Wives’ bar in Staten Island
A man was killed in the early hours of Sunday during a fight outside a Staten Island bar made famous by VH1 reality show “Mob Wives,” police said.
Police responded to a call about an unidentified 46-year-old man found unresponsive outside the Drunken Monkey Bar and Grill in West Brighton at 3:40 a.m. Emergency responders pronounced him dead at the scene.
The man appeared to have hit his head in a deadly fall during a fight with three men who took off in a car, police said.
The bar was opened in 2007 by co-owners Sallyann Lombardi and Angela Raiola, better known to fans of “Mob Wives” as “Big Ang.” The bar has made frequent appearances on the show.
No arrests have been made and an investigation is ongoing.
