The babysitter suspected in the abuse and death of 4-year-old Myls Dobson was charged with his murder and assault in a Manhattan court.

Kryzie King, 27, was arraigned on Thursday after her arrest in January in connection to the boy’s death, pleading not guilty to the charge of murder and eight counts of assault.

The Manhattan District Attorney’s office said that King was left in charge of Dobson after his father was arrested for unrelated charges in New Jersey and unable to care for him.

Instead of taking care of Dobson, prosecutors said King repeatedly assaulted him at her 48th Street apartment, binding his hands and feet and striking him with an electrical cord or belt buckle.

King also allegedly left the boy out on the apartment patio during the winter months and burned him with an oven rack, reportedly starving him as well.

“Myls Dobson was forced to suffer unimaginable pain in the last weeks of his short life,” Manhattan DA Cyrus Vance said in a statement. “Now, we will do our best to ensure that justice will be served in his memory.”

Law enforcement and emergency workers responded to King’s apartment on Jan. 8 after receiving a 911 call. They allegedly found Dobson unconscious and unresponsive in an empty bathtub with cigarette burns, bruises and cuts on his arms, legs and genitals.

The boy was rushed to Roosevelt Hospital where he later died.

King faces 25 years to life for the murder charge alone. Her trial is set for Sept. 17.
