Brooklyn man decapitated in car crash after police stop
A Brooklyn man was decapitated after he drove his car into a flatbed truck while to evade police on Wednesday.
Officers arrived at the Brooklyn-Queens Expressway exit ramp near Atlantic Avenue in Brooklyn Heights at around noon where the found the headless body of Leroy Samuel, 22.
Samuel had been driving his 2003 Infiniti when local police attempted to pull the driver aside for a traffic violation.
Instead, NYPD said, Samuel drove off and sped towards the exit ramp, where the truck was parked at a red light.
Samuel reportedly lost control of the car before the driver’s side struck the rear of the truck and killed him. Emergency workers declared him dead at the scene.
A 22-year-old female passenger in the car with Samuel survived the deadly accident, and was taken to Bellevue Hospital Center with complaints of back and neck pain.
Police said she remains in stable condition.
