‘Top Chef’ features Brookline’s Regal Beagle chef Stacy Cogswell
The executive chef of a popular Coolidge Corner restaurant will appear on the 12th season of the hit Bravo cooking show “Top Chef,” which has been filming in Boston.
The Regal Beagle’s Stacy Cogswell, 33, said in an interview with The Boston Globe that she told “most of her family that she was traveling in Europe during the local shoot,” and that her boyfriend and brother were the only ones who knew of her involvement with the show. Cogswell will face off against 15 other chefs from around the nation.
The season premieres on October 15, and will feature returning judges Tom Colicchio, Gail Simmons, and Hugh Acheson as well as ”Top Chef All-Stars” winner Richard Blais. Local chefs are also expected to make cameos, including Barbara Lynch, Ming Tsai, and Todd English. Some notable local landmarks, like Fenway Park and Plimoth Plantation, will reportedly host some episodes.
