10 inspirational quotes from Steve Jobs

Co-founder of Apple, Steve Jobs, once said “We’re here to put a dent in the universe.” And that he did.

Jobs, 56, died Wednesday after a battle with pancreatic cancer.

Jobs co-founded the computer, media and electronics giant with Steve Wozniak in 1976 but left eight years later, returning in 1996 to reinvigorate Apple and bring about a string of successful innovations, including the iMac personal computer, the iPod, the iPhone and the iPad. His health a matter of public concern for years, Jobs underwent surgery for pancreatic cancer in 2004. After leaves of absence for medical reasons in 2009 — during which he received a liver transplant — and earlier this year, Jobs officially resigned on August 24, stating in a letter at the time that he could “no longer meet [his] duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO.”

While being Mr. iPod, iPhone and iPad, he was also a man of words.
