Ask.com reveals the top questions, searches of 2011

There are a number of Royal Wedding questions on Ask.com's list including 'Who made Kate Middleton's dress?'

Think back to all the times you typed a question in Google search. Whether the question was as simple as “How do you boil an egg” or “How did Amy Winehouse die” the your question was probably answered by Ask.com.

Ask.com released the top trending search terms and corresponding questions about celebrities, news and politics for 2011. While most of the results aren’t surprising – most major events, from the earthquake in Japan to the Royal Wedding and Kim Kardashian’s wedding and subsequent divorce are all well represented – some of the questions make us wonder what kind of weird stuff people are into.

One of the top questions asked is “Where can I find Anthony Weiner’s Twitter pics.” While the answer to that is ‘everywhere,’ we wonder, who really wants to see them?

“Because people come to Ask with specific questions we are uniquely able to understand what’s on consumers’ minds at any given moment, be it pop culture or politics,” said Doug Leeds, CEO, Ask.com in a press release. “For the first time, we’re looking at the year’s top questions to not only reflect on 2011, but also predict the newsmakers of 2012.”
