Fury and relief over burial of accused Boston bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev
Twitter was ablaze with mixed emotions Thursday after a private citizen stepped up to the challenge of burying the most hated man in America after weeks of debate, braving the inevitable backlash from those still grappling with unrelenting anger and pain.
Some were appalled that accused Boston Marathon bomber Tamerlan Tsarnaev was removed from a Worcester funeral home and reportedly entombed in a location outside of Massachusetts.
Then there were those who seemed glad to have the controversy laid to rest. The Worcester Police Department made a public plea Wednesday asking that Tsarnaev’s remains be buried. The city had shelled out a reported $30,000 to protect the funeral home since the body arrived May 3.
