Zubeidat Tsarnaeva, the mother of accused Boston bombing suspects Dzhokhar and Tamerlan Tsarnaev, told BBC that she plans to come to Boston for her son’s July 10 hearing.

It will be her first trip back since the bombing. She told the news agency that she is nervous, but that she wants to support Dzhokhar Tsarnaev, 19.

“I will not let anyone to take my son away. They took my Tamerlan away but I will not allow them to take away my Dzhokhar,” she said. “I really hope my son is not going to be long there. As soon as my son gets out, I will take him, I will grab him, and I will leave that country.”

Tsarnaev is accused of setting off two deadly bombs by the Boston Marathon finish line on April 15, killing three and injuring hundreds more. His older brother Tamerlan Tsarnaev, who was also suspected of the attack, was killed three days later during a shootout with police.

Dzhokhar has been detained at a prison medical facility at Fort Devens since late April.

Following the bombing, Tsarnaeva and her ex-husband, Anzor Tsarnaev, have given mixed answers as to whether they would return to the U.S. The family lived in Cambridge for a decade.

Tsarnaeva has maintained her sons’ innocence in interviews. She told BBC Sunday, “I am their mother. I give them the birth. I brought them up. I raised them by giving them love. Special love. We never talked about killing. The word killing in our house had no place. So of course I am sure that my kids never would do this.”
