An on-duty federal air marshal was the one under scrutiny on a Southwest flight Thursday, when a fellow passenger caught him using his cell phone to take pictures up the skirts of boarding female passengers.

Adam Bartsch, 28, was arrested at the Nashville International Airport and charged with disorderly conduct, according to the Davidson County arrest affidavit. According to the affidavit, Bartsch admitted to snapping the photos after an angry passenger observed his actions, snatched the cell phone and alerted a flight attendant. Bartsch was then removed from Southwest flight 3132 to Tampa.

Nashville news station WKRN identified that angry passenger as Rey Collazo. “I just reached over with my left hand and grabbed [the phone], struggled with him a little bit, and I got the better part of the phone and twisted and hit him with my right hand between the neck and the shoulder,” Collazo said.

Bartsch, who has been an air marshal for about three years, has been relieved of his duties.

“TSA does not tolerate criminal behavior,” a written statement from the Transportation Safety Administration said. “The agency immediately removed this individual from his current duties and is in the process of suspending or terminating his employment. TSA continues to assist with the investigation.”

Bartsch was later released on a $10,000 bond. He is set to appear in court on Nov. 14.
