Someone in California is very, very rich.

The $425 million winning ticket for the Powerball jackpot was sold at a gas station in the small town of Milpitas, Calif., just 10 miles north of San Jose.

The winning numbers drawn on Wednesday were 1, 17, 35, 49, 54, and a Powerball of 34. With only one ticket matching all six numbers, the jackpot was an estimated $425.3 million. The winner can either opt to take the amount in full as an annuity paid out over 30 years or a cash payout of $242.2 million, lottery officials said. Dixon Landing Chevron, the gas station that sold the winning ticket, would receive $1 million.

The top prize for the Powerball, which is drawn twice a week, had rolled over and accumulated 15 times since the last drawing on Christmas Day. The last Powerball prize went to Kevin Carlson in Missouri, with a $71 million annuity, and the previous winners were David and Erica Herrig in Nebraska with a $122 million annuity.

In the last two years, Powerball prizes have increased drastically due to the ticket prices doubling to $2 nationwide.

The $425 million prize is the fourth largest in Powerball history and the sixth largest in U.S. history.

The biggest winner in Powerball history took home $590.5 million before taxes in May 2013 in Florida.

There is still no word yet on the identity of  the person who purchased the single winning ticket.
