Actress Minnie Driver has responded to bitchy critics who sniped about her bikini body by Tweeting a naked picture of herself.

The 44-year-old star of NBC sitcom About A Boy suffered a torrent catty abuse after a set of paparazzi bikini pics, taken without her knowledge, were published.

She even retreated from social media she was so stung by the criticism from what she called ‘the horrible people’.

But now she has tackled the haters head on by Tweeting a stunning naked snap with the caption: “If you want people to stop talking about how you look in a bikini, let them see you naked. It tends to shut them up:) “

The racy snap was from a nude pictorial for Allure Magazine.

A naked Kristen Bell is also shown in the image which the British Goodwill Hunting star shared with her 82,000 Twitter followers.

Last month, before taking a break from Twitter, the mom-of-one, who lives in West Hollywood, tweeted: “God some people are horrible: you try being photographed when you don’t know it’s happening, when you’re on holiday with your kids.

“I’m out of this Twittersphere for a while. It’s too mean sometimes, about your body , about your soul. Not worth it.”
