Afford Zimmerman due process
Re: ‘Martin didn’t start it’ (Metro, July 3-7)
I wonder what trial letter writer Diane Ives has been watching in order to come up with an opinion as ridiculous as the one from the holiday edition.
Ms. Ives must have it in her head the George Zimmerman is guilty of murdering Trayvon Martin no matter what the evidence shows.
Because multiple (prosecution) witnesses have said Zimmerman never changed his story (like Rachel Jeantel did) and an eye witness backed up that story, Diane somehow thinks George Zimmerman is lying because he was following Trayvon.
But it does matter because when you are bashing a man’s skull into the ground, you are trying to kill that person, not simply stopping them from following you.
I suggest you keep an open mind, Diane, because this trial has proven why George Zimmerman wasn’t immediately charged with anything.
