To letter writer Kevin Metz commenting that another letter writer needs to keep an open mind about the George Zimmerman trial, I would say that he should follow that same advice.
I have followed the trial and there are numerous discrepancies in Zimmerman’s various accounts of this very avoidable killing of a teenager armed with a bottle of soda and a bag of Skittles. Zimmerman in one version of events said that Trayvon Martin jumped out at him from some bushes, while in a videotaped accounting of events there are no bushes in the actual area.
Another discrepancy would be Zimmerman claiming that he was told to get out of his car, when the actual audio tape contradicts this claim.
