Letter: Metro should get a pat on the back
Re: ‘Thank you, readers, for keeping Metro on top’ (Metro, Nov. 19)
Congratulations to you as well. Newspapers and magazines have to deal with increasing costs for newsprint, delivery and distribution along with reduced advertising revenues and declining readership due to competition from the Internet and other new information sources.
I’ve been grateful that you have afforded me the opportunity to express my views via letters to the editor along with others who may have different opinions on the issues of the day. Patronize the advertisers; they provide the necessary revenues to help keep Metro free! Let them know you saw their ad.
This helps keep our neighbors employed and the local economy growing. In the marketplace of ideas, let us hope our Metro continues to survive and prosper! With the costs of everything going up, I look forward to my free copy of Metro every morning.
