Letter: Admiring his moves isn’t Brown-nosing
Re: ‘Austin Mahone: “I really admire Chris Brown”’ (Metro, Dec. 16)
OK, we get it: Dorothy Robinson hates all things Chris Brown. I agree what he did — one time, in the past, to someone who forgave him — was reprehensible, but please put down your pitchfork for a split second. To scold Austin Mahone’s admiration of Chris Brown’s dance moves is ludicrous.
He never said he admires his personal life. He commented strictly on artistry. Get a parachute the next time you jump to (completely absurd) conclusions. The newspaper is at fault, too, for stating that he “wants to be like one controversial guy.” According to what you printed, he never said that. It’s supposed to be journalism, not sensationalism.
