Letter: Constitution doesn’t protect pursuit of pleasure
Dr. Rubin asks what will be the end result of cutting abortion and contraception access. Less casual sex and more committed relationships, if not more marriage, perhaps? While some women may rely on birth control for health reasons other than pregnancy prevention or termination, this is not the type of health care employers are conscientiously concerned about. Besides, while freedom of religion is a federally recognized and protected right, freedom to have sex without consequences is a right no one can grant to anyone.
