Letter: Can’t force conformity
Re: ‘Constitution doesn’t protect pursuit of pleasure,’ (Metro, July 3-6)
To letter writer Justin Dobbs I would reply: History shows that every state which attempts to upgrade the “morality” of its citizens from ordinary human nature to some religious or otherwise unnatural ideal ultimately resorts to using totalitarian means to accomplish this impossible goal. People aren’t going to make love the way that you imagine is right for them because birth control is harder — or easier — to obtain!
