A water main break has turned a popular thoroughfare into a puddle.
Just before 9 a.m. this morning, an underground pipe burst, flushing water on to Delancey St.
The street has been completely shut down between Bowery and Christie, with scores of emergency workers trying to plug the gushing water.
Traffic onto and coming off off the Williamsburg Bridge is bumper to bumper.
