Male Jets fan punches female Patriots fan in the face

These days the only thing more prevalent than game highlights the day after an NFL Sunday are fan fight videos.

There are entire websites dedicated to the pastime of finding these wonderful gems — note the sarcasm — every Monday. SportsGrid, for instance, has a page dedicated to them, while Deadspin and The Big Lead also feature them almost every week.

But rarely do they involve a man straight coldcocking a woman in the stadium concourse.

That was the case on Sunday after the Jets beat the Patriots after a controversial penalty set up a game-winning field goal by the Jets in overtime. As you see in the video above, there was a little scuffle which gets broken up, with a man in a Wayne Chrebet No. 80 jersey being pulled away. Two female Patriots fans go after him and the Jets fan straight blasts one of the women with a right hook.

The man has been identified as Kurt Paschke, 38, who actually went to jail for four years for stabbing someone to death, according to the New York Post.

Four people were charged with simple assault and disorderly conduct in the case on Tuesday, including the woman who was punched in the face, Jaclyn Nugent. Paschke was also charged, along with Amanda MacDowell and David Sacco, the other two Patriots fans in the video.

According to a witness named Rob, who captured the video, and sent it to Deadspin:

Fight started in the stands with two girls fighting. And moved out to where I shot the video. Beer was thrown and clothing over the balcony. Security went after the guy. Didn’t see what happened after that.

Oddly, there seemed to be fairly little outrage from the assembled onlookers. A guy in a Patriots T-shirt, who appears to be with the women, stood up for the woman but only meekly.

I also count two Darrelle Revis jerseys, one LaDainian Tomlinson jersey and one Mark Sanchez jersey in this video. But that’s neither here nor there.

Free advice for NFL game attendees: Don’t get drunk, get into arguments with opposing fans and punch them. You will look like an idiot and someone will be there to capture it on their camera phone.

The people involved in the brawl were reportedly detained, however it is unclear if charges will be filed.

“We are aware of the situation and we do not tolerate that behavior,” a Jets representative told New York affiliate CBS 2. “Parties involved were detained and this matter is now in the hands of the New Jersey State Police.”

The video has racked up over 82,000 views on YouTube since last night.

If anyone should be disgraced in this situation it’s the female attacker who couldn’t even take what she was trying to dish out.
