Even on the DL, Alex Rodriguez found himself in the headlines yesterday.
And not for a good reason, either.
Rodriguez, who is expected to test his surgically repaired right knee on the field today, is facing a potential suspension as Major?League Baseball investigates his alleged involvement in illegal, high-stakes poker games,?according to online reports.
“We take this very seriously and have been investigating this matter since the initial allegation,” MLB said in a statement. “As part of the investigation, the commissioner’s office will interview Mr. Rodriguez.”
Rodriguez could be suspended if his attendance is confirmed because he has been warned about gambling in the past, ESPN
reported.
