Delaware gets No. 13 seed, will face Spartans
The Blue Hens are traveling a long way as they make their first appearance in the NCAA Tournament since 1999.
Hopping a flight west to Spokane, Wash, the Blue Hens will take on No. 4 Michigan State as one of four No. 13 seeds.
The Hens have a potent offense, ranked 24th in the entire country, and posted a 25-9 record playing in the Colonial Conference.
In addition to winning their conference tournament, they are currently riding a five-game winning streak, and earlier in the season the team tallied off a 13-game streak mid-season.
Historically, Delaware has never won an NCAA Tournament game in four attempts.
Two players to watch as Delaware takes to the national spotlight Thursday are Devon Saddler and Davon Usher, each averaging 19 points per game.
