VIDEO: Dad at Mets game ditches son in stroller for chance to catch baseball
Baseball fans will do just about anything to take home a baseball at a game. One man mistakenly let his son roll down a hill while he was riding in a stroller during a spring training game between the Mets and Marlins.
When Mets outfielder Chris Young belted a ground-rule double into right-center field, an eager fan who was pulling his son in a stroller, let go to chase down a ball that bounced over the wall into the picnic area of the field. As soon as he let go of the stroller, it rolled down the hill and his son crashed into the fencing.
SportsNet New York cameras cut to the family afterwards and they seemed to be alright, but we’re sure the dad must have been in trouble with his wife and son. To make matters even worse, the dad didn’t retrieve the ball.
