Sorry for partying: Gronkowski’s near $10,000 tab

Using the phrase “Summer of Gronk” to describe Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski’s off-the-field exploits is no longer on-point. After all, there are 12 months in a calendar year, half of which involve no NFL games.

Much was made about his botched DDT on a friend at a Las Vegas club two weeks ago and now we have even more evidence of how much fun Gronk truly had in Sin City.

BustedCoverage.com revealed Gronkowski’s bar tab from the club XS at Encore on Super Bowl Sunday and it totalled a tidy sum of $9,615 dollars. Highlights of the bill include a $1,400 tip for waitress extraordinaire “Laura,” 14 bottles of water that totalled $154, a $700 bottle of Beau Joie and lots and lots of Grey Goose.

Gronk’s tab conjures up memories of the Bruins team tab from Shrine at Foxwoods two years ago after the Black and Gold won the Stanley Cup. The team compiled a bill of $156,679.74.

Of course, Gronk’s feat is a tad more impressive, considering he’s just one man. Other news from the Gronk beat this week included him being spotted in Orlando with a sleeve-less, lime-green shirt (shown above), which read “Sorry for Partying” … a clear jab at his critics. It’s unlikely the shirt will be sold at the Patriots Pro Shop anytime soon but it is sold here, if you’re so inclined.
