Eagles WR Riley Cooper blocked Twitter accounts of racist video owners
Eagles wide receiver Riley Cooper blocked the accounts of two people who had been direct tweeting at him about a racist video that surfaced last Wednesday, according to Crossingbroad.com.
Cooper was “tweeted at” 10-15 times by three separate accounts regarding the video for a month and a half before it was released, according to the website. He blocked two of those accounts “at some point last weekend.”
Cooper told reporters Wednesday that the video, which created a media uproar, was brought to his attention just hours before it was originally posted online.
The Eagles released another statement on the matter on Sunday, saying that “[Cooper] informed us he blocked the tweets because he did not know the person nor understand the context of what that person was threatening.”
