VIDEO: Bills fan falls from upper deck of stadium

You never know quite what a camera will capture when you’re filming live. Just ask Abraham Zapruder.

Nothing quite so historic happened Sunday at the Bills-Jets game, but CBS certainly caught something incredibly scary. When the game was returning from break at the start of the second quarter, the network was showing a wide shot of the stadium before pulling in on the action.

Attentive eyes caught a Bills fan sliding down the railing in the 300 level — that’s the upper deck at Ralph Wilson Stadium — in the upper left corner of their TV screen.

And frighteningly enough, the fan is seen losing his balance, trying to cling to the railing, before tumbling backward and falling into the 200 level below him.

The video only aired in certain markets, with others joining seconds later.

Amazingly, the fan was not seriously injured. Unfortunately, the fellow fan he fell on in the 200 level was badly hurt. Deadspin reported, via a handful of eyewitness tweets, that the falling fan suffered a shoulder injury while the fan in the lower deck suffered a head injury.

One of those tweets (from the oh-so-cleverly named Jack Mehoff) included a photo of the fan who fell being rolled out of the stadium.

Why this idiot would be sliding down the railing, I have no idea. But please sports fans, stop acting like morons. No need to see these injuries from stupid behavior.
