It’s time for another roundup of your weekly weird news. This is Generation Beta.

Police solve almost all problems ever, move to moshing

Street Violence? Check.

Drugs? Check.

Homelessness? Check.

Hunger? Check.

Well, Boston Police, it seems you’ve done it. Solved ALL THE CRIME IN THE CITY!
Wait…what’s that, you say?

Young people are SLAM DANCING?

The horror!

Boston police are trying to ban slam dancing in city venues.

The Mayor went so far as to ask hometown heroes The Dropkick Murphys to urge the moshing to end at their annual run of St. Patrick’s shows.

Expert Chinese counterfeiters add WINE to the list

The Chinese are expert counterfeiters….no one can deny that.

The new trend?

Wine!

As the Chinese palate grows more fond of fine wine….more and more counterfeit Bordeaux’s are hitting the market. Industry insiders fear the fakes cold be turning local buyers off from the wines altogether.

Experts say the flavor difference is obvious, and that they can instantly detect the fakes. But they say inexperienced Chinese consumers don’t know.

China has become the world’s fifth largest wine consuming nation…and it forecasts 54-percent growth before 2015.
That’s a billion bottles.

Georgia woman gets stuck in trash chute

An obviously inebriated 19-year-old Amanda Still threw her cellphone down the trash chute Sunday night. And unlike most- who would cry about it and buy a new one–she decided to go get the thing:

Thankfully….there was some trash stuck in there…so she DIDN’T plunge to her death in the compactor below.

How did this happen, you ask? Her phone was in her fast food takeout bag…and she forgot.
