We did our civic duty. We went to vote and then the difficulties began: Waiting on line to find out your district numbers (since we did not get notice in the mail); then, waiting on line to get a paper ballot; then trying to find a booth that had a pen; then the oohs and aahs from the seniors saying, “Oh, I can’t read this.”
And I assisted them and then turned over the ballot, and, lo and behold, fine print that nobody could read. It was a roll of the dice just to bubble in “yes” or “no,” whatever was your pleasure.
Then, we waited on line to watch the paper go into a machine and handed our card to a worker who had a hearing problem. Well, we want to thank the Board of Elections for another DISASTER.
