To non-techie Harvey Wachtel: I’m a techie who has trained non-techies for years. It’s generally up to website designers to make things easier for you — it’s called marketing — so occasionally you’ll see “download as PDF,” and there’s your “save” feature. You can also purchase Adobe Acrobat or Distiller: Each will set up a new printer called “PDF” so that whenever you print anything from any website or application (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.), you can send it instead to a PDF file.

Letter writer Harvey Wachtel made a good point about always having to print confirmation pages for transactions. I have a solution that may be helpful to Harvey and others: Alt + Print Screen. (This is comparable to a screen shot on smart phones.) You can take a “print screen” of your confirmation pages, paste the image in an email to yourself or in a document, and you have it in your records! You can go as far as having a folder specifically for receipts and confirmation pages on your computer in your email. Simply use the title/subject line as your means to describe the transaction and it serves as a way to keep them organized.
