Alexandra Cavallo is the Entertainment Editor for Metro Boston. Originally from New York, she moved to Boston to get a Master's Degree in Journalism from Emerson College, which was a dumb move because everyone knows that nobody needs an advanced degree in journalism. But hey, she's here now. She previously worked as a writer and editor at the now-defunct alt-weekly The Boston Phoenix and has no interest whatsoever in hard news. Her "beats" of interest include horror movies (the bloodier the better), snarky pop culture commentary, eating and writing about gross fast food trends, music (though she suspects she's better at being a music fan than being a music writer), and putting herself in slightly awkward social situations for the sake of comedic writing. She's terrible at Twitter but trying to get better. You can help her out with that by following her @AlexCavall0.
