Cassandra Garrison

Cassandra Garrison

Cassandra became Metro's Head of Online Content after spending a year and a half as a reporter for the newspaper and its website in NYC. She has covered national and local news, including Hurricane Sandy, the 10th anniversary of 9/11, Occupy Wall Street and the 2012 London Olympics. She also contributes feature stories on travel, food and entertainment. Cassandra grew up in Cleveland and began her career in local television news as an anchor and reporter for WJET/WFXP in Erie, PA. She is a proud graduate of the E.W. Scripps School of Journalism at Ohio University (go Bobcats!). Fun fact: Cassandra was wearing her former boss' men's size 12 dancing shoes when she met Diane Sawyer on assignment during a "Good Morning America" train trip because the conductors told her she could not wear her high heels on board.
