Meredith Engel

Meredith Engel

Meredith Engel is the Wellbeing and Going Out editor at Metro, which means she has the unique responsibility of going out to eat on a nightly basis and then trying to work it all off the next morning. She started freelancing for Metro after meeting her soon-to-be bosses at a MediaBistro event (networking works, people!) and then began working in the office in early 2011. Meredith went to Fordham University, where she was editor in chief of her college paper, The Ram, and won the Edward A. Walsh scholarship for her work in communications. She majored in Communications, minored in Spanish and studied abroad in Granada, Spain. She really misses the late-night schwarma runs in Granada, but is thankful that her new neighborhood of Astoria has an amazing taco truck that stays open all night. Fun fact: She is really good at pogo-sticking.
