Philadelphia police have arrested the mother of a 2-year-old boy rescued from the roof of a row home in the Frankford section of a city, along with the mother of a 1-year old boy whose child was trying to climb out on the roof from a window.

Cleaira Bell, 22, the mother of the 2-year-old was charged with endangering the welfare of a child and reckless endangerment.

The mother of the 1-year-old is 17. She was not identified by police because she is a juvenile. She faces the same charges.

Police and fire crews were called to the 4700 block of Leiper Street Monday afternoon after neighbors saw a toddler on the roof of a rowhome.

Police forced entry into the 3rd-floor apartment where they confirmed that the children were home alone.

Both moms arrived home as while the police were there. The boys were taken to St. Christopher’s Hospital for observation.
