The Philadelphia Police Department is looking for a man in connection with a bizarre incident at a Fairmount pharmacy.
Cops said that shortly after 8:30 p.m. on Dec. 25, a man was inside the Rite Aid pharmacy at 20th and Fairmount when a female employee "attempted to stop the suspect for suspected shoplifting." The PPD went on to say that once the employee stopped the man, "he pulled a pocketknife, chasing the employees [and] threatening them."
The suspect reportedly escaped the fracas with "multiple bars of Dove soap." Luckily, the store manager was not injured, cops said.
The suspect is described as a 45-year-old black male, bald, 5 feet 8 inches tall, 220 pounds with a beard, and wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants.
Authorities insisted that members of the public should not approach the suspect and should instead immediately call 911. Tips can also be phoned to 215-686-TIPS (8477) or texted to PPDTIP (773847). Tipsters can also leave information online.
