District Attorney Seth Williams' ex-girlfriend is expected in court today to face charges for a 2015 tire slashing.

Stacey Cummings, 47, stepped forward in August, confessing to allegedly slashing the tires on two city-owned security vehicles parked outside the DA's home in November 2015.

Cummings faces charges of criminal mischief and possession of an instrument of crime, and the matter has been turned over to the Delaware County District Attorney's Office to avoid any potential conflict of interest.

She had been romantically linked to Williams in a 2014 financial disclosure filing, in which Williams declared a Christmas gift from Cummings: a Rolex watch valued at $6,500. It's not clear what their current relationship is.

The Inquirer reported in August that Cummings told investigators she committed the act because of "upsetting" information to which she "reacted poorly," according to the charging documents.

On Nov. 11, 2015, tires on two city-owned vehicles assigned to Williams and a member of his security detail were slashed. Replacing the tires reportedly cost taxpayers $845. Investigators gave up on the investigation in January, deeming the case too bungled to solve.

Cummings came forward on her own volition Aug. 28, after Williams came clean about more than $160,000 worth of gifts he had earlier failed to report on Aug. 15.
