Guide to what’s happening in New York this week

Com Truise will play the International Tapes Party this Friday at 8 p.m.

Theater

‘We Live Here’

Through Nov. 6,
New York City Center, W. 55th St., $80
“We Live Here” takes place over a wedding weekend, dominated by a young woman who morphs into bridezilla. The specter of a mentally ill twin sister hovers over family interactions, and the reappearance of an ex-boyfriend drags more skeletons out of the closet.

‘The Pumpkin Pie Show: Lovey Dovey’

Through Oct. 29,
Thursday to Saturday,  8 p.m.,
Under St. Marks, 94 St. Marks Pl., $18
This year’s edition of this reliably entertaining annual storytelling series focuses on the thrills and pain caused by romance — from a how-to on the proper way to execute a teenage dance-floor make-out, to an elderly woman’s lament on the secret STD epidemic at a retirement home due to the introduction of Viagra.

Culture

Olaf Breuning: ‘The Art Freaks’
Through Oct. 29,
Metro Pictures, 519 W. 24th St., free
“The Art Freaks” is a smart, revealing homage to the some of the 20th-century’s most revered artists. The exhibit features a group of color photographs of nude figures painted in the signature styles of these seminal artists, including Warhol, Damien Hirst and Louise Bourgeois.

Books

Emily Books: ‘No More Nice Girls’
Saturday, 6:30 p.m., Word, 126 Franklin St., Greenpoint, free
Emily Books subscribers get one ebook each month for a year, along with access to exclusive events and “priceless feelings of satisfaction.” The first pick for the newly launched venture is Ellen Willis’ essay collection “No More Nice Girls,” which gathers the author’s cultural criticism from publications like The New Yorker and Village Voice.

Shopping

Ladyfag presents Pop Souk
Sunday, noon to 6 p.m.,
Hiro Ballroom, 371 W. 16th St., free
This one-day pop-up brings together designers, DJs, artists, nightlife personalities, drag queens and other creative folk to sell fashion and treasures out of their own closets. Patricia Field, Telfar Clemens, Oak and Ladyfag herself, among others, set up shop presenting their exotic, thrifty and avant-garde best.

Party

International Tapes Party w/ Com Truise, Dom & Laurel Halo
Friday, 8 p.m.,
285 Kent, 285 Kent Ave., Williamsburg, $8

Music

Fader Fort by Fiat
Friday and Saturday, Fader Fort,
443 W. 18th St., free by RSVP
Supplement your CMJ with the Fader Fort. No badges needed, kick-ass bands are free to all (21 and over, of course). Oh yeah, plus free Bud, Bushmills and more. Performances from Metronomy, Purity Ring and King Krule. A DJ sets by folks including Flavorpill faves Tanlines.

Panache & Bruise Cruise CMJ Showcase
Saturday, 7 p.m.,
Public Assembly,
70 N. Sixth St., Williamsburg, $12
Panache mans the front room, showcasing seminal Japanese pop-punk girl group Shonen Knife and our fave crass BK band, Cheeseburger, along with Pujol and Bleached. Bruise Cruise fills the back room with Nashville garage rockers Turbo Fruits and Miami buzz-band Jacuzzi Boys.

Flavorpill A Band Apart Showcase presented by Stoli
Saturday, 6 p.m.,
Le Poisson Rouge, 158 Bleecker St., free by RSVP
You may know Dustin Wong as the driving force behind Ponytail (RIP); on his own, his shimmering guitar-work comes to the fore. Pendu Sound artist Chelsea Wolfe brings darkbeat bliss, while Delta Hotel rock indie-pop vibes with keyboards and their own tinge of darkness.

Dance

‘Radio and Juliet’
Friday and Saturday, 8 p.m.,
NYU Skirball Center for the Arts, 566 LaGuardia Pl., $20-$35
Ballet Maribor proves that Shakespeare, modern dance and Radiohead have some-thing in common. Choreographer Edward Clug takes a modern spin on the Bard’s renowned tragedy, seamlessly blending minimalist staging, contemporary dance aesthetic and alternative rock with the traditional story
