Legendary rapper Heavy D dead at 44 (VIDEO)
As major fans of 90s rap, this news saddens us.
Legendary rapper Heavy D, whose real name is Dwight Arrington Myers, died in Los Angeles. The cause of death is still unknown. He was 44 years old.
TMZ reported that the rapper recently suffered from pneumonia. According to TMZ, Heavy D had just returned from shopping when he had trouble breathing. He was found leaning against a railing when 911 was called.
An avid user of Twitter, Heavy D left his last message: “BE INSPIRED.”
Heavy D is best known for his hit ‘Now That We Found Love.’
Many of his albums, such as ‘Big Tyme,’ ‘Peaceful Journey’ and ‘Nutting’ But Love’ went platinum.
Later in his career Heavy D dabbled in acting with roles on shows like Boston Public, The Tracy Morgan Show and Bones. He also appeared in films like ‘The Cider House Rules’ and most recently ‘Tower Heist.’
