Nancy Grace was having an MVP week

It's Grace time!

Some people were just made for the moment.

On a day fresh with enough cable-TV news — Herman Cain’s got another accuser! Michael Jackson’s doctor might go to jail! — to give Geraldo Rivera a heart attack, Nancy Grace rose above her competitors yesterday and delivered an MVP day.

First, Grace went on “Dancing with the Stars,” and … well, just watch this clip:

Let’s count down the checklist. We’ve got Grace down for one pissing-match with her partner, one awkwardly sexy tango and one climactic staredown with the judges, before the whole thing culminates in a weird moment of catharsis during the judging, as Bruno suggestively pumps his crotch towards her. Only in DWTS!

Not content with her day’s work, Grace then took to her bully pulpit to address all the breaking news she missed while taping DWTS. Mostly to talk about how she obviously knew Conrad Murray was guilty.

From The Hollywood Reporter:

“I’ve been talking about Michael Jackson since he was charged with child molesting,” Grace tells THR. “I made it very clear what I thought after I read the autopsy report and the state’s and the defense’s evidence. Yes, of course I would have liked to weigh in on the verdict, but I’ve weighted in what I thought the verdict would be, including what it would be and when it would come in. Luckily, I was two for two.”

[...] “I think the whole charging decision was wrong,” she says. “He should have been charged with Murder One… He should be doing life behind bars.”

We’re glad that we have Nancy Grace here to remind us how smart Nancy Grace is.

However, not one to let the day go by without unleashing a classic quip, Grace also offered the following bon mot to THR:

“When [Murray] gets out, I’ve got news for him: God’s gonna get him,” she says, candidly. “He’s gonna be miserable. He can run, but he can’t hide. Hey, he and Casey Anthony can have a tea party in four years.”

Bam! That, my friends, is how you keep yourself in the news.
