Ryan Gosling fans protest, say he’s sexier than Bradley Cooper

Ryan Gosling has had quite the year. In addition to making girls swoon, he broke up a fight in New York City. He made us question if he’s as cute as a puppy, and we’ve lost count of how many movies he’s been in this year alone.

Yesterday, when People Magazine announced that the prestigious title of “Sexiest Man Alive” went to Bradley Cooper, we were a little surprised. Not that Cooper isn’t sexy, don’t get us wrong, but after the year Gosling’s had, we felt like he had this in the bag.

Turns out some people were not willing to let this go. In their eyes, Gosling was robbed of the title and choosing Cooper was a huge mistake.

In true Occupy fashion, a group of people gathered in front of the People headquarters in New York City to protest.

In the video below people are seen chanting “You messed up!” and “Bradley Cooper is just fine but Ryan Gosling is divine”

With a protest comes a petition, right?

On Change.org people have started signing the “People Magazine: Admit Ryan Gosling should have been named Sexiest Man Alive 2011” petition.

The description of the petition says:

“We believe People Magazine made a huge mistake by choosing Bradley Cooper as the 2011 Sexiest Man Alive. 2011 was clearly the year of Ryan Gosling and we demand that People Magazine give Ryan his own magazine cover. Together, we can right this wrong.”

If this isn’t democracy, then what is?
